While traveling on the Triboar Trail, a tragic sight meets your eyes as you turn round a bend in the path. A carriage and two dead horses lie about fifty feet up, while steep embankments of dirt and rock press close to the path, leaving no clear way forward.

As a way of practicing my map making skills, I decided it could be fun to remake some of the locations from the Lost Mines of Phandelver, one of the modules that introduced me to D&D! This map depicts the location of one of the adventure's first encounters, where >!goblins ambush the party using the remnants of their employer's own cart!<. A fun tidbit is that the booklet from that box set didn't actually have a map for this encounter, despite having maps for nearly every other one!

I made this map in Dungeondraft primarily with assets from Crosshead Studios, though the horses and blood are from 2-Minute Tabletop. I additionally used Krager's shadow pack.

As a bit of a mini poll, do you all prefer the version with treetops, or with trunks and transparent canopies instead? It seems like people have lots of varied opinions about how to do it, and I'd always love to hear more thoughts!
