My new group wanted to play the Lost Mines of Phandelver, but didn't want to play in the Forgotten Realms — Naturally, that meant I needed a map to bring the surrounding region to life.

This is still very much a WIP. I spent most of this past weekend working on it in order to get it ready for Saturday night's session, but the players ended up not even seeing it. (Ain't that just the way?)

The map was made in Wonderdraft almost entirely with /u/atypikk's assets, which you can purchase here: https://fantasymapassets.com Discovering his asset packs is largely what motivated me to make the map.

Critiques and suggestions are appreciated!

EDIT: Yes, I know it needs a legend and a title. Hopefully to add those soon. Also thinking about adding small waypoints to indicate inns along the road or other unknown points of interest. I've also considered adding another style for "ruined road" to indicate the long lost roads between Phandalin, Thundertree, and Bywater
